2And so I tell you not to worry about the food you need to stay alive or about the clothes you need for your body. Life is much more important than food, and the body is much more important than clothes. Don’t degrade yourself by selling your body to buy food or clothes! Look at the crows, they don’t sow seeds or gather a harvest and they don’t have store-rooms or barns.

Once there was a man who went out to sow corn.
As he scattered the seed in the field, some of it fell along the path and the birds came and ate it up.
Some of it fell on rocky ground, where there was little soil.
The seeds soon sprouted, because the soil wasn’t deep.
Then when the sun came up, it burnt the young plants and because the roots had not grown deep enough, the plants soon dried up.
